Here is my card for Teapot Tuesday. My inspiration was this glass paperweight: https://www.pinterest.ie/pin/561050066090527905/
To make, I sponged yellows, oranges and reds onto my card stock, then brayered clear "ink" over it and covered it with embossing powder. Heat embossed and then repeated the process again. I cut the circle then mounted it on acetate coloured yellow with crinkled aluminium foil behind to give a stained glass effect. This took me a bit out of my comfort zone but it was fun to do. Enjoy!

Glad I read your description as my first thought was that you had floated watercolors to get that moody swirled look -- so good job with that sponging! I'm betting the overlay of acetate on your art piece gives it a super glassy look IRL.
