Conor, aged 5, has spent nearly two months in the hospital after his third open heart surgery. With both his birthday and Christmas approaching, his parents have asked for cards from the public to help cheer him up. I combined the events into this one slider card.
The card is straightforward. Pounced the DI for sand and blended for the water/sky. Colored and die cut the various images for the front and inside. To make sure the slide would not catch on the inside die cuts, I glued 5 layers of cardstock between the front and bottom. The sentiments are computer generated using Creamy Chocolate and High Tide fonts.
Conor is sure to receive a ton of cards and I hope each and every one brings him a bit of joy. If you would like to join in the card drive our fellow SCSer Mac4551 has posted the info in Cards for Cause here: cards for a 5 yr old boy by mac4551 at Splitcoaststampers

Absolutely adorable! You are so creative. The inking and stencil work is fantastic. The images, palm trees, and dual greeting are all fabulous...

Oh my gosh is this ever a worthy reason to make and send a card, and oh my gosh is this ever a perfect card to send. Fun, interactive, beautifully designed, and cute as can be. Hugz - extra ones for the extra heart here, Debbie.
