I was inspired to do these cards by the Paper Artsy Lynne Perella stamp sets, which are so gorgeous, and have a mysterious and sometimes haunting character. Will plan to give these cards away for Xmas gifts. Need to make envelopes, as cards are nonstandard sizes. I made the background using a variety of Distress inks, oxide, and mica stain sprays, and collaged torn and aged pieces of vintage book pages, then applied Distress Crackle paste over that, and highlighted the cracks with Distress ink in Vintage Photo, then cut down the backgrounds and distressed the edges. I stamped the faces in MFT Extreme Black ink, then embossed with black embossing powder and colored the images using Prismacolor and Distress watercolor pencils, fussy cut the images and edged them with a black Copic marker. I aged some Idea-ology paper paraphernalia with Distress Vintage Photo, then applied crackle paste, frosted crystal, and foundry wax in various combinations to the pieces. Colored some Idea-ology paper flowers with diluted Distress ink re-inkers to match the colors on the cards and glued these to the backs of the cards with the images that I had to raise using the foam tape. I created some charms by covering an Idea-ology metal star with foundry wax, and created some faux metal tags using Neenah Solar While Cardstock, tinfoil, alcohol inks and Idea-ology paperie per the instructional video on Crafty by Toni website (many awesome ideas in Toniâs videos!), and attached these to the cards using more Idea-ology findings and some metallic thread or waxed cotton string.
