A big congrats to Mer, the newest Featured Stamper on Splitcoast! She has a lovely gallery and I chose THIS card to case. I kept the cute fox but used different images & dies, different colors & made mine an A2.
After stamping, coloring & die cutting the cute fox, I hunted for something to imitate the curving trees w/ opening in the center. I came up w/ the idea to use this mosaic cover die, then use an oval to cut out the center. To cover this cut, I die cut a blue oval ring using 2 sizes of oval dies. I popped it up just a bit on top of the mosaic. The little fox & greeting were added on a smaller, stitched oval which popped up a bit more.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ more pics, Copic colors & products: The Write Stuff

Julie, this is such a fun case of Mer's card. I love that you combined the fun designer paper and Mosaic cover to create the background for your sweet fox. Precious!

I love the dp from Rubbernecker. Wonderful fox, mosaic bg. Such a fun and cute card - almost chose this one myself to case!

So so cute and so so wonderful. I love that dp for the bg. I thought your geometric die cut mimicked the trees even before I read your write-up -- very creative alternative. Love the oval to frame and spotlight your heroic fox. And a wonderful sentiment -- especially for a youngster. Great CASE and a Great card.

Hi Julie, I am so honored that you were inspired by one of my cards! I love your cute fox and how it ties in nicely with the patterned paper, such a cohesive look. What a creative idea you had to use the mosaic die to mimic the arches and branches from the original card! I recognized that right away, so clever! I adore the blue, gray, and white color scheme and the sentiment is perfect - the fox looks like he has squared his shoulders and is holding his head high as if he is ready to take on anything! HUGS, Mer
