This card is for Carlene for Teapot Tuesday. I've never done a stencil, but happened to have this Stampin' Up one. It took all the foam off my daubers, and then I re-read the pack and they are actually "decorative masks" to be used to paste. Live and learn, right? The butterflies and Hello are from Crafters Companion, and the lady is an older die, not sure where she came from.

Wow, that die cut gal in the ball gown looks a lot like a Julie Nutting stamp, which I adore. Great find. And she looks beautiful against your "masked" bg. Some of our best crafting techniques happen this wa and it looks like it worked to me. Lovely colors; lovely card. And Carlene is sure to enjoy this.

I've always considered masks and stencils to be fairly interchangeable. It seemed to me that the earliest masks were comparable with when we masked a stamped image and then applied background colour around it, the SU ones I was never sure why they called them masks. I'm sorry that your daubers suffered, though. I've used foam with my SU "masks". Great die-cut
