Congrats to 4littlekittens for being the Featured Stamper! She has a fun gallery! I chose this card for my inspiration: Dogwoods by 4littlekittens at Splitcoaststampers Given that this was a Sketch Challenge card, I *only* kept her idea of using 2 different embossed panels with a die cut image(s) on her card, which was not part of the challenge. I changed everything else, including the card size, theme, colors, embossing folders used, layout, and added a sentiment.
And, since I have/had over 30 die-cut trees leftover from making my Christmas cards... there was no way I was going to throw away all of those trees. (The trees on my cards are green with white while these are the leftover parts -- white with green inset pieces). Sooooo, I am challenging myself to make as many winter (mostly non-Christmas) cards with these trees as possible. Winter is short here in GA, so I don't have a very big window for using these, but I sure don't want to waste them.
Assemble 3 previously die-cut trees (white, Evening Evergreen) and hold pieces together with double-sided tape.
Emboss a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock using the pine boughs folder of the 3D Wintry EFs set; emboss a white scrap using the snowflakes EF from the set. Adhere panels side-by-side at the top of a 5.25 x 7.25-inch card base. Adhere a piece of red stars designer paper to the bottom front of the card. Cover the seams between the papers using strips of gold glitter cardstock.
Adhere 3 die-cut trees to the front of the card. Stamp "love" and "sending" using Evening Evergreen ink on white scraps; fussy cut; adhere to card front using dimensional foam tape. TFL and thanks for the inspiration!
