It's getting more difficult to come up with different NON-Christmas-themed winter cards featuring these leftover trees... but these will be for people who are sick or having other problems over the winter and who might not be in a very festive mood.
Okay, I have over 30 die-cut trees leftover from making my Christmas cards... and there was no way I was going to throw away all of those trees. (The trees on my cards are green with white while these are the leftover parts -- white with green inset pieces). Sooooo, I am challenging myself to make as many winter (mostly non-Christmas) cards with these trees as possible. Winter is short here in GA, so I don't have a very big window for using these, but I sure don't want to waste them.
Assemble 1 previously die-cut tree (white, Evening Evergreen) and hold pieces together with double-sided tape.
Using Versamark ink, stamp snowflake repeatedly on one side of vellum; sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set. Once dry, stamp same snowflake image on back of the vellum using Soft Succulent ink. Let dry.
I had issues with my vellum tape this time, which changed the card design some. The vellum adhesive tape showed through with a yellowish tint, so I tried to hide it or at least distract away from it using the Liquid Pearls and by adding the red border.
Adhere vellum panel to the top of a white A2 card base front using vellum tape around the edges. Adhere a red cardstock panel to the bottom front of the card, tucking the die-cut tree in behind the panel. Cut 1/4-inch strips of the red cardstock and adhere as a "border" around the vellum panel. Dot the vellum panel with Platinum Liquid pearls in between the snowflakes.
Die cut lace border from white cardstock. Adhere at the border between vellum and red cardstock, trimming off the excess. Stamp sentiment using Soft Succulent ink on the red panel. Stamp a snowflake in each lower corner of the red panel using Versamark ink. TFL!
