I stamped the layers of the gingerbread house in various colors of ink. Thankfully, the stamps are rather easy to line up! On the first go-around, I tried sponging darker brown ink onto the gingerbread section stamp around the edges. But that kind of took over, so I nixed that idea & just layered Toffee Crunch & Peanut Brittle inks with no extra shading. After I finished stamping, I die cut that piece with a circle die. I inked the perimeter of the circle with Tea Dye, mainly so it wouldn't visually mush into the blue mat. I cut the mat with a square die, & inked around the perimeter of that with Speckled Egg.
I cut 2 strips of patterned paper for either side panel. I'm not sure if there was yellow in the printing on part of the edge of the paper, or if I'd gotten some stray ink on it at some point. At any rate, I went ahead & lightly inked around the edges of my patterned paper with Squeezed Lemonade, just to camouflage the yellow already on the paper. Then I adhered them to my card.
I stamped my greeting onto a panel of yellow cardstock, & adhered that in place. Finally, I adhered my focal panel to the card above the greeting.
