I painted my background with rose and deep violet. The tree was a mix of kelly green, garden green and olive. The hardest part of this painting was trying to find an old paint brush to pull the wispy bits from my green leaf shape. I have been throwing the old ones away as I replaced them with better quality brushes - who knew you were supposed to hoard all that stuff - lol - Spattered in the snow with white acrylic paint and added the ornaments with Twinkling H2O's. Sponged the edged of my die cut painting with Royal purple. Always sad when the camera doesn't capture the shimmer & sparkle of the metallic paint . . .

Oh, I so agree with you....most of us mere mortal photographers can rarely capture the sparkle and shine of metallics, glitter, etc on our cards, Linda. Your tree is so cute and chubby and decorated beautifully. The pink/violet watercolor wash bg really contrasts with the green of the tree so beautifully.

Fabulous card, Linda. I love the colors and the tree shape. I like you grounded your tree in snow. You do know hoarding is the name of the game in cardmaking, right? LOL I used a fan brush for my feathering.

Loving the wispy strokes, you created. The background and edging really make the lovely tree pop. Smiled about your brushes, whatever you had worked well. Always a pleasure seeing your painting., TFS
Oh, I love this! I made a pink background but I was so unhappy with how my star turned out, I decided to do another. I love your pink ornaments! I also, really like how you grounded your tree in the snow. A fabulous card. So happy that you felt well enough to paint!
