Oh, how I would have liked to be able to pick a leaf or two and paint what I saw. SO, although my Chinese Pistache does turn fiery shades of gold, orange and red, it's about 3 weeks or so before it will turn. That plus the fact that trees that flourish in the desert tend to have really small leaves had me making this up as I went along. I decided to send this to my granddaughter so I sprinkled on some iridescent sequins (super shimmery IRL) after framing with Autumnal colors.

You created a beautiful leaf with such vibrant color. That is some wonderful framing, also.

Love the title of your creation! It does look like autumn fire. You captured the vein technique of the artist perfectly. You have a very creative mind to paint this by memory. Interesting fact about the desert tree leaves. Our trees are on the downside. We were in the peak last week. It was beautiful. Thanks for joining us and sharing this beauty.

So pretty, I know what you mean, I drove across the state last weekend and the father north you went the less color you seen. ( they are past prime leaf peeping up north already, but we have been so summer warm that we have quite a few trees with green leaves still and its snowed twice now) ( I am rolling my eyes) I love this, the veins are so delicate and the framing colors are perfect to showcase this leaf Linda
