Beverly, thanks for introducing me to this technique. I have so many tree and leaf stamps but I confess that I had a hard time finding an image that would work. The Penny Black tree stamp is four trees in a row, I stamped only two on the end. I did dab off a lot of the foliage but there still is quite a bit of black. But, in the end, I think this turned out just fine. I did a lot of layering with the DOx inks and lots of dots with a marker and I think the black underneath creates a nice shadow. I used a stem stamp to put a little grass at the bottom, decided to skip the shrubs because of lack of room. This is also for yesterday's FS honoring Yoo-rah, a very creative stamper and dirty girl. We've missed you, Yoo-rah!!!!!! This is my inspiration: Spring will always come by yoorah at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for the challenges, Beverly and Kittie.

This turned out fabulously, Jean. Very atmospheric and really beautiful. I know - who knew it would be so hard to have the right tree! I had two possible dies.

Gorgeous. Love all the shadows in those gorgeous trees and your sentiment is so inspiring. Perfect on this beautiful card. Love how you turned the inspiration card into this Fall beauty. And, yeah, no matter how many stamps we have so often they just aren't the right ones. And that's why we keep buying. LOL. But I think you found the right one for this fabulous scene and fabulous card.
