The actual card is an ATC. The white frame is just because I remembered this joke and wanted to share it...
From the diary of a Pre-School Teacher:
My five-year old students are learning to read. Yesterday one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said, *Look at this! Its a frickin elephant!*
I took a deep breath, then asked *What did you call it?*
*Its a frickin elephant! It says so on the picture!*
And so it does ... AFRICAN ELEPHANT.
I put a knot on it for the MIX508. It's not thread, but I think it still counts.
The tribal design at the top is an old SU wheel, but I don't know the name of it. I stamped then masked the elephant while I made the sunrise with daubers and blending brushes. I colored the scene with markers then added details with a brown gel pen.
Next month's *ATC the World* challenge for Kaligrafos, the Dallas calligraphy club is Kenya. Part of the challenge is to use hello on the card--in the appropriate language. Jambo means hello. I printed it on the computer with a free font called Zentyp Demo.
