I started a Travel the World card series in 2019, committing to virtually visit a different randomly-selected country each week (for 50 weeks), gathering tidbits of information about the country. I love to travel and this is one way I can "visit" countries that I might otherwise never see. As I learn about each country, I choose something about that country as inspiration for a card.
This is the fourth (and final) year of this series. By the end of 2022 I will have virtually visited all 195 countries in the world.
This card is inspired by the State of Palestine, where the poppy has long been featured in Palestinian art and in the spring, the flower blankets fields in the region with its bright red color.
