The teapotters are sending cards depicting the area they come from. We are sending cards to a class of 9 yr. olds in France. The teacher speaks fluent English. Their project is "travelling around the world". I decided to try to show some of the features of Stanley Park which is in Vancouver and where I was born and have spent oodles of time there, although we now live 35 miles east of Vancouver. It is the jewel of the city with over 8 million visitors a year. Lost Lagoon is at the entrance to the park and has been known to freeze over. My fave thing to do is to walk the seawall around the park which is 8.8 km (5.5. miles). Here is the link that tells of all the wonderful features of the park: https://www.tripsavvy.com/top-things...couver-3371106
I have printed all that info to send with my card.

Shirl, the beauty of Stanley Park will make the children want to travel to Vancouver ..... what a great winter scene you've created. The information you are sending along with the card will really help them understand what a wonderful area this is!

Super card and super memories. Love the skaters amongt those lush evergreens. I checked out that link and was so impressed. I kept thinking I had found my favorite thing I would like to do there and then I would seen the next thing. What a fabulous spot and what a diverse amount of activities there. The kids will be delighted to learn about Stanley Park and Rita is right -- they will all want to come and visit for themselves. I know I want to. Great card, Shirl and great info.

Oh, I'm loving this winter scene you've created, Shirl! How fun to have a real place to ice skate surrounded by lots of trees. You have just the right amount of sparkle to capture the ice. Beautiful card and sure to be appreciated~
