This Tea Party was so fun! This week we are sending cards or postcards to an elementary school class in France, so they can learn about the world. I knew for sure that I wanted to use one of my old maps of the area, and I could have used a map with my town on it. I think my town is wonderful and we have 350 years of history, but I decided to represent Plymouth on my card with these cute Pilgrim hamsters. I mean, how could I resist? It's close enough to where I live, but Freetown did get cut off the southwest edge of this card. I love that the map, which is a forty year-old map of Plymouth county, has the Mayflower on it.
I used today's sketch challenge with my little hamsters as the corner element and added "Bonjour from Massachusetts" using my Raleigh font for the kids.

Definitely a lot of history in your area with the landing of the Mayflower and arrival of the pilgrims to the new world. A really great map piece to have in your stash.

Well, I shouldn't be surprised that you have the cutest pilgrim stamps around. Those two are adorable. They remind me of a Disney-esque movie. Love love love your map as the bg. Adorable, fun and instructive all in one. Great card. And, I love your part of the world with all it's history.
One of my favorite vacations and memories was everyone making fun of our "accents". One time we were lost and asked for directions. The kind gentleman who helped us said go towards "Pibity". My friends and I nodded thanks and looked at each other shrugging and repeating "Pibity" "Pibity". And then we found it on the map PEABODY! We still laugh at ourselves.
