Inspiration Challenge - IC879 - Pumpkin Time - October 8, 2022
I don't have a specific image to link to from the Pinterest collection since I was inspired by many of the colorful pumpkins that are not the traditional pumpkin colors. I have been loving using pink on my Halloween and Fall cards this year, and I saw many variations of pink pumpkins in the Pinterest collection. Here is my version of pink pumpkins.
I started with a light gray card base, cutting the cardstock down to a 6x6 piece and scoring at 3 inches.
I used the pumpkin dies to build two pumpkins - one with 3 layers and one with 2 layers.
For the larger pumpkin, the base layer is cut from patterned paper, the middle layer is cut out of white and stamped with a background stamp using a dark pink ink, and the top layer is cut from white and colored with a pink alcohol marker. I then stamped the sentiment on this top pink layer using gray ink.
For the smaller pumpkin, the base layer is cut out of white and stamped with the same background stamp using a light pink ink, and the top layer is cut from the same patterned paper. I then stamped the tendrils on this top patterned layer using gray ink.
The stems were stamped in gray ink and cut with the coordinating dies.
