What I did:
I created two tags, and 1 notecard. In all 3 cases, the bat is die cut from the white papers, and then you can see the black bat by looking through the negative space. Love this effect and the shadows!
The vertical tag was simply two pieces of paper folded in half (with the black signature very slightly offset), then the bat was cut out from the white front panel. The circle tag was just two circle dies with the same process of cutting the bat out of the white circle. Both tags have a hole punched at the top for the ribbon that keeps the contrasting papers together. The note card was a white notecard base, and the message panel inside is black watercolor paper. I was able to hand pen "Boo" in white calligraphy ink in the center on the inside. I imagined the tags would be nice with a box of chocolate at Halloween as a gift and you could write the recipient's name on the inside of the tags in white ink.
This is truly my kind of minimalistic design, IMO a great match with my inspiration, and SUPER easy to achieve!
Enjoy!

Stark and stunning, Audrie! I have loved bats ever since I had a bat in my bedroom about this time of year and my brother had to rescue me. Did I like that he was in my bedroom? Nope but I've had a thing about bats ever since.
