I had played with the sketch from last week with the oval and corner pieces but never came up with anything that inspired me, so I figured I wasnât going to play that one. But it stayed in the back of my mind, and when I came across and extremely ancient Rebecca Sower sheet of cutouts Iâd hoarded for literally decades, I realized that the oval shaped pumpkin and the corner bits perfectly fit the sketch! So I finally cut into this sheet after all this time. I got to use another old school tool in my collection as wellâ¦since the corners were images of felt pieces that had been cut with pinking shears, I had to dig deep for some of my old paper edgers to find the pinking style and cut out the cornersâ¦I used a black premade card and layered on a rectangle of Halloween paper in yellow, then glued the corners down and attached the pumpkin with foam tape. I didnât like how the sentiment piece looked on the card front so I glued it inside. This will be going to my seniors this monthâ¦we had requests for only cute Halloween cards, nothing scary or gross. I think this will fit! So I am also submitting for last weeks CAS challenge of making a Halloween card.
