For the Color Challenge hosted by Chris. Her colors are Soft Suede, Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzazz. The dessert option is to use shades by adding darker or lighter versions of these colors.
First I heat embossed the image in black on watercolor paper. With ink & water painter brushes, I colored the image. I did most of my shading with heavier and lighter concentrations of ink. On the pumpkin, I colored with Pale Papaya and then I added a darker version with Pumpkin Pie ink.
Also, I used a technique to add shading to my embossed panel. After I put my cardstock in the 3-D Layered Leaves EF, I spritzed the cardstock with water front and back. It was damp. Then I ran the folder through my Big Shot as usual. The impressions of the leaves made on the damp cardstock were much more pronounced than when I use dry cardstock. After the panel was all dry, I lightly sponged over the raised areas with Pear Pizzazz ink.
I die-cut the image and layered over DSP, then onto the embossed panel. Tied seam binding around and made a bow. Everything adhered onto a Soft Suede card base. So fun to make. I hope you will join in! TFL

There is so much great technique on this card, Diane, the embossed panel particularly, that it's easy to miss how adorable your central image is. What a sweet little scene!
