This card is for Barbara's Color Challenge. She has selected Melon Mambo, Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green with sparkle for the dessert option.
I was thrilled because I could stamp spring flowers anytime of the year and I love to add sparkle!
Recently, I have been pondering all the stamp sets that I have purchased and never used. Too many stamps, not enough time! This wildflower set being one of them. In thinking it would be a good one for the colors, I gave it a whirl. The pink rose-like flowers were stamped off for a lighter base and then stamped in full ink for the second layer. The little purple flowers did not line up as nice so I stamped them twice, once in full ink and then repeated without re-inking. The grass was stamped in last. At the top, I stamped the birthday sentiment from the same set.
The best part was the dessert option of sparkle. There are dots around the flowers, stems and in the grass as part of the images & stamping. Using a Wink of Stella pen, I brushed on some sparkle on the dark areas of the pink flowers (which you might see in the picture). With the same glitter pen, I touched on every dot. The stamps were just made for this idea. It was quick and easy. Not sure if you can see it in the photo, but WOW, is it sparkly and so pretty!
Thank you, Barbara for the dessert idea and these beautiful colors.
I hope you will have fun with these colors as I did! TFL

That stamp set was perfect for these colors and your wild flowers. I have so many stamp sets and I feel I should use them or get rid of some. My room gets too crowded.
