This week's Tea Party is for Hildie in Massachusetts. She has been overwhelmed with losses in her family and the responsibility of caring for her son's medical needs. We are going to send her some encouragement so she knows she's not alone. I'm your hostess this week and my challenge is to add vellum to your card. I chose to try the Double Stamped Vellum technique. Hildie loves butterflies and I thought this technique would be a nice one with butterflies and flowers layered on the vellum. I've also combined with the "Score!" TLC. I scored a plaid by scoring each inch and 1/4". This card is a little boring for me especially in the photo. It is prettier in real life and I hope Hildie likes it.

this is beautiful. I love a card that is on the 'simple' side yet is still elegant, as this one is. The double stamping on the vellum came out great.. another technique I need practice on as my stamping usually isn't clear or is smeared. Great card !

Far from boring, as Mac said it is simply elegant. I love the blues in this (periwinkle maybe -- always hard to tell on a computer screen) paired with the white. Your double stamped velum looks fabulous and the scored pattern adds just the right touch of texture and interest without distracting from the main event It is a beautiful card and I am sure Hildie will more than agree with me.

Well I disagree with your "boring" statement. Lots of interest here. From the layering to the stitched frame and embossed lines to that fabulous double stamped image. This is beautiful.
