MMTPT739 - butterflies and car shows use vellum on your card
I have a small bit of this very old heart vellum paper and thought it would work great in a window. I actually created 2 of this card, so I could send one to a friend as well as the teapot Tuesday destination station.
I cut the vellum and placed it under the window then overlaid it over the purple card stock.
I then die cut the butterflies in blue and sponged the edges purple.
The card was finished with the purple sentiment.
Update on this card...
I dropped these in the mail this morning and someone came and stole them out of my mailbox. My postal carrier found them torn open and on a lawn in the next neighborhood and knew I made them and brought them back so I could remail them. If only people knew how important these cards are when we mail them.
I would love it if you would check out my Blog: Shoe Girls Cards.
Thank you for looking!

This is gorgeous Lisa. I love the heart velum and have always adored that peek-a-boo window die. Love the purple/blue color combo and with those whimsical butterflies look super in blue with the purple edging.
UGH! How distressing and annoying for someone to steal your mail. It happens a lot down here too. They are hoping you are sending a check to pay a bill. I'm glad your postman knew you. At least they didn't destroy the cards so you have the opportunity to remail them. But still, it's so upsetting. It's things like this that remind me why I need to participate in activities of kindness more. People like you and the other Tea Potters help to offset some of this negativity in the world. Hugs.

This is so very pretty. Love the blue/purple colours together.
How awful to have your mail raided like that. I send mine along with my office's mail which is picked up at the door so the sending part is good but often there is theft at the receiving end. Glad you were able to resend and it is great that your postal worker knew that the card was from you. Wishing you a happy day.

Love those blue butterflies and I always love seeing the various ways crafters use that aperture die cut! You have a very thoughtful postal carrier .... so glad you were able to resend those cards.

The heart vellum is sweet, and looks great over the purple layer. The butterflies look super, too.
Yikes! I guess our post is more secure, even though it's not as convenient having to walk as far as a postbox out on the main street to post anything. I'm glad they weren't totally lost.

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to hear that, but thank Goodness for your mailman. This beautiful card for Hildie is a keeper for sure. I love your sponging on the butterflies and that sweet heart vellum in that wonderful frame die. Faved!

Ohh very pretty butterflies - I have that die and never thought of sponging the edges - what a great effect! (And you’ll probably see mine look like that in the future, lol). Nicely framed as well!
