I needed a music card, but didn't find any so I found this paint palette card and copied the sketch. Both painting and music represent the arts. I also kept the butterfly and used some swirly floral paper.
I did a resist technique on the floral paper. It is foiled, but had a white background. I did StazOn direct to paper (DTP) to color it.
Last night we I was a backstage hostess for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (they played a concert at my church). This card was a thank you for their guest pianist--Olga Kern--a world class piano soloist. I made this card to welcome her to our church.

Beverly, this is a great case of Carol's card. I love the piano and music theme of your card. The gold die cut musical score really shines against the black and white color combination. Gorgeous!

Wonderful case. Elegant card for the guest pianist. A lovely gesture.
Love the butterfly & music die-cut. The papers are so special. The piano image is fabulous. Very nicely done.

Fabulous card & I enjoyed reading the story behind it. Mom & I had season tickets to the DSO for years, and while the Meyerson is fantastic I am sure their music filled your church with joy. Can you tell I am a bit jealous?

Gorgeous in every detail. Love that blue resist panel you created. It is stunning and looks gorgeous with the navy piano. And that piano -- also gorgeous. The bits of gold add a nice bit of glitz. I am sure Ms. Kern will be touched with this beautiful welcome. Great card.
Loved your backstory. I can imagine how beautiful the evening must have been. Lucky you.
