I created an album for my brother & SIL a few years ago with photos of a trip they had taken to Italy. Before that, when I was in the planning stages, I had gotten various stickers & accent pieces to use for that. Since they had not gone to Venice, Florence, or Montecatini, I had these stickers left over. Since the theme for this Teapot Tuesday challenge is "Travel," I thought they would be perfect for this card.
I decided to make the stickers look like travel posters casually stuck to a wall. I cut a piece of ivory cardstock to 6x6", & stamped the "Crackle Background" with Antique Linen Oxide ink. I think the tone-on-tone look gives just the right amount of Old World appearance. I also matted the stickers with navy, green, & rust cardstocks, just to give them a more finished look. I trimmed down my cardstock to about 4-3/4x5-3/4", to fit the arrangement of "posters" better, and created a white card base the same size. Then I adhered the card front to the base.
I arranged my sticker posters on my card, then used a piece I'd cut from a clear sticky mat to pick them up as one unit. I added liquid glue to the back of them all, & stuck them to my card. I let them sit for a few minutes until the glue had started to set up, then removed the sticky mat. This was the first time I'd used a sticky mat for this purpose, & I must say I like it a LOT better than Press 'n Seal. Much easier to work with, & reusable - win-win!
I die cut my hello greeting from a scrap of green cardstock, & glued it in place. The hardest part of this whole card was actually just working out the design & look. I really like how this card came out, & hopefully the recipient will, too!

Those sticker definitely make me want to visit. Love you arrangement and the crackle bg -- it does have an old world look to it. I'm still using Press 'N Seal, but when that runs out I will have to give the sticky mat a try. Thanks for the tip! Great card.
