For Polly's WTUI challenge this week: WT913-Who's Your Favorite-Sept 8, 2022 by peeps321 at Splitcoaststampers
I must admit I struggled a bit with this challenge - looked through my SCS favourites but it was hard to pick just one person, and not being able to sort by username didn't help. And in terms of real art - I like Monet, but Iâm not an impressionist! In the end I chose Joan Miro, because we had two full-size prints of his work in the house while I was growing up, and I always enjoyed looking at them. An exhibition of his work was also one of the few exhibitions I managed to drag DH along to! When I did a quick Google search, I came across a fab picture of Mickey Mouse done in his style, but Iâm afraid I just used a background stamp from Studio Light, and Miroâs bright primary colours (and green). My sentiment is from Art Journey. I used Polychromos pencils, added some Enamel Accents drops, and the sentiment was stamped using an assortment of Elements inks from Lavinia. At least this way I ended up with a card I would use, which would not have been the case if I had gone freestyle.

I love it! I really like how you came to honor Miro thinking back to the prints that you grew up with. TFS! And I agree with Anita...you're always on my fav SCS list!

How enjoyable to create a great piece of art honoring an artist who inspired you as a child!

Your art work is beautiful, Sabrina. You certainly captured the livliness and movement of many of Miro's works. I had a chuckle about "dragging your DH" to an exhibit. My DH jokes that I have dragged him to MANY museums, churches and "important architecutal momuments" in Europe and beyond. : )
