I watched Lidia's watercolor tutorial live last week and I re-watched it today and decided "I can try this". I am not good at no line coloring, I just usually throw mine in the trash but this one I think I like. I was afraid to do the sky so I left it "as is" and I was afraid to add a sentiment for fear I would ruin it and would have to start over. LOL

This is just too cute with all of them at the fence. Such a sweet image. Good job watercoloring and no you did not want to have to start over. I've been there before and no fun.

I totally get it. There are a lot of times when I leave things off for the same reason! I think it actually makes your scene more dramatic with some of it uncolored. This is such a sweet scene and I bet it was fun to paint. Beautifully done!

Well done on your painting and I do agree - sometimes less is more especially if this is not a medium you typically use. (I, too, opted to skip a sentiment so I wouldn't glob up my painting . . .)

I absolutely "get" everything you wrote, I felt the same things at different times. One thing I do now is if I want the sky to have some color, I do it as a very light wash first, then when its dry paint the rest of the scene. ( you have less of a chance of wrecking it mid painting that way I think) this is really cute Sheri
