I used Dawn Woleslagle's (the owner of WPlus9) Faux Watercolor technique for my card. I first used a finger dauber to ink up the bird image in the stamp, which I'd placed in my MISTI, with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink. I spritzed it lightly with water, stamped it, then moved the ink around a bit on the paper with a damp paintbrush. I followed suit with the other images in the stamp. For the beak, I just stamped it with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink & spread it ever so slightly with a damp brush. After the ink had dried, I used a black glaze pen to go over the eye, then added the catchlight & the highlight on the beak with a white gel pen.
I stamped the greeting with Hippo ink. I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die, & die cut the upper edge with a scalloped stitched border die.
I die cut a piece of floral patterned paper with the same rectangle die. I didn't die cut the entire panel, since most of it would be hidden behind the focal panel. I also cut 2 strips of barnwood patterned paper & adhered them on either side of my white card base. I adhered the floral panel, centered side-to-side, & then adhered my image panel over the lower edge of that. I love how this card came out, & I really like the Faux Watercolor technique. It makes it so easy to get a multi-colored, watercolor-looking image, with little effort.

Your Faux Watercolor is gorgeous! Thank you so much for explaining so well how you achieved this look. I'm adding your card to my 'techniques to try' board. Beautiful card.
