I needed a card for one of my seniors who is retired from race car building and restoring, so I thought the two recent things that go/wheels themes would be a great way to make a card for Tom. I decided to use some fun vintage look paper from a Colorbok pad. The âroadâ is actually a strip from a page of painted wood pieces. I cut another piece of the âwoodâ in yellow for the car, which I then die cut the car body and hubcaps from. I also cut the tires demo a scrap of black cardstock. I layered another piece of paper with various vintage printing bits on it onto a vanilla card, then attached the road piece. I stamped the dashed line in black ink and assembled the car on the card front, glueing the pieces in place. I stamped the âbeep beepâ in black next to the car. I stamped the sentiments on a vanilla scrap and cut it out and then attached to the card. This might be my favorite of todayâs cardsâhope Tom likes it too!
USEIT2022: Using some pattern paper I had to have but have struggled to use; first use of car die that I got earlier this year.

The car is cute. I like your vintage papers. The one you used for the road is really effective. We still have a few concrete roads here and there, which are just that sort of grey colour - and so noisy to drive on!!

I enjoyed reading your description of how this card came together - lots of pieces and steps but it all came together beautifully. This is a really unique and special card.

Wonderful card for your student who is into cars. Great bg for the cute little "bug" going along. Don't know if it was intentional, but looks like it could have left a sooty deposit as it took off. Very well done.
