What a beautiful color combination Chris has selected this week. I needed a special birthday card for a cousin and thought this combination would pair nicely with this stamp set. I went looking for a sketch that I hadn't done and came up with this one from last April. Yes, I'm a little late to the party!
First, I cut my hexagons and then stamped the florals on them sponging the edges with Sweet Sorbet. Next, I dry embossed the background with the Tufted embossing folder.
For the sentiment, I didn't have any Flirty Flamingo paper so I took my ink pad directly to a piece of white cs and created my own. Then I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder. Since I have both dry and heat embossing, do I get double dessert?!
I decided to do something different with my sentiment and die cut it with the large scallop edgelit on both sides to get this fun shape.
Inside I stamped the age with Soft Seafoam and then stamped the sentiment - the number of years the world has been a better place because you're in it.
Thanks for the challenges and thanks for looking!

Just beautiful. Love what you did with the sketch and the challenge colors. The sentiment strip die-cut with scallop edges looks great. Love the background embossing. Pretty flowers. Wonderful card, Catherine. I have almost all these supplies. Into my favs!
