SCS's own Lydia Fiedler was on Craft Roulette and I made this card based on the parameters of that show. It had to have winter colors, patterned paper, paper strips, and pretend which is represented by my gnome.
I cut a small rectangle from Balmy Blue and then added patterned paper strips to it. I stamped the sentiment with Pacific Point.
I am probably one of the few crafters who does not have a gnome stamp so I looked around for ideas on making a punch art gnome. Most of the recipes I saw were using products I don't own but I thought why not use the leaf from Botanical Builders framelits? I did and decided it wasn't quite big enough so I die cut two of them and put them together. The nose is a small circle punch, the body was made using the ornament punch. I used the leaf punch and then two leaves for his feet. The hat is simply fussy cut. Put it all together, and you have a gnome. He is popped up on foam tape.
My last finishing touch was faux stitching around the border of the base. Fun challenge and you should check out the card Lydia created if you haven't watched it.
Thanks for looking!

This is such a cute gnome card! You met all of the card parameters perfectly, and I am so impressed that you used your current supplies to patch together your own gnome (leaves for the beard is pure genius!). It is all very clever and the results are great! I'll have to watch that episode this week.

Impressive. I also don’t own a gnome or unicorn stamp lol. I do have paper with gnomes on though that I can fussy cut. Fabulous card. You should have saved it for P for punch lol. Happy day

Catherine, this is fabulous...doesn't look like punch art, but rather a professional die set to build a gnome! Love his plaid had...looks like crinkle fabric. Washi tape is an excellent look to build your design! This is just darn CUTE and an AWESOME job!
