For my card, I had just ordered the bear basketball stamp and was anxious to design with it. I made a birthday card for one of my nephews who is turning 15.
I started with a blue background, and left a small white border all the way around with the card base showing through. Then I added the patterned paper with a small blue border all the way around, except at the bottom where I left enough room for the sentiment.
I stamped, colored, and die cut the bear with ball and net and layered this onto a white oval to ground the image against the busy background. Then I layered this onto all of the paper layers. Knowing my nephew, I skipped any extra embellishments like gems or sequins!
I followed the original card's basketball theme but made these changes so as to preserve the original design:
I used a different stamp set with a different critter playing basketball - a bear rather than a moose.
I used different background colors - blue and orange rather than black and orange.
I used a different sentiment and a different placement.
I used different patterned paper.
Thank you Sandye for inspiring us with your craftiness and creativity!

Great card. Adorable bear image and he pairs so well with that great bb bg. And that sentiment couldn't be better. Your nephew will enjoy this fun card. Great design.
