This is the first background I made for Polly's recent double embossing challenge, till I realised that she said NOT to heat emboss the dry-embossing. So it's been sitting on my desk waiting to be used. The background was sponged with antique linen, salvaged patina and forest moss DOX, then embossed with gold EP. Today I edged the whole thing with gold paint and sprinkled some glitter over it before it dried. I didn't want to cover it too much, so I added the sentiment banner, and some holly cut from the trimmings of my Tuesday card (cling wrap background) and I dabbed some AI onto glossy photo paper for the berries. The dove was cut from a pearlescent scrap, so I pulled out a sheet of the same to make the base, and added a scored frame.

How you create the patina look just always amazes me. And the raised double emboss is very cool! I like this card. That banner sentiment suits it well.
