Hello! I am hosting this week's Watercolor Wednesday Challenge! Our tutorial is from Kolbie Blume. At the end of her video, she lists what she loved and what she learned while painting. So instead of focusing on what I don't like about my paintings or where I messed up, I am going to start listing what I love and what I learn.
I love the color tones I achieved. I love how the light seems to glow.
I learned that I need to check my gouache before splattering. The gouache was so watery that instead of stars, I think I made snowballs.
I learned that I need to work on trees and scumbling.

Angie, literally - I could cry looking at this. But from nothing less than my overwhelm with the beauty of this painting! It pulls at some pretty deep places in my soul... and leaves me in a state of greater serenity than I arrived here with. (omg... I sound like some art aficionado! LOL... )
In all honesty, this is perfect. Absolutely perfect! I will be making a hard attempt to play along with this fantastic challenge this week, as it's calling my name!
Thank you so much for the great challenge and for the stunning masterpiece you've provided us with as your sample!

Angie, I do love how you sky lit up and your scumbling is fabulous for the trees. I also love your stars...you know, some shine brighter than others. It's all beautiful.

Angie, I think you did a TERRIFIC painting for the challenge. I think there is a magical quality to your sky and your scrumbled trees are GREAT. It really is a lovely card.

Your colors and light are so fabulous on this, Angie. I may try it again and try to get my sky more like yours.
Gorgeous card, gorgeous video and gorgeous challenge gallery! Hugz
