So I didn't follow directions but I did recycle a box. A few weeks, in cleaning out a cabinet hoping I would find one last book of bank checks (I did!), I found this box from a previous phone, maybe two phones ago. It's a very cool, sturdy, fake woodgrain box and before I knew it, it became a birthday box for my youngest granddaughter, who will be 9 on 9/6. I did very little to the box itself, except cover up some of the Samsung info. There was a slip sleeve over it that I cut up and used quite a bit of, stamped on, added embellishments. The top and inside features some wrapping paper that came from my recent paper, that was what started me with the rainbow and birthday theme. There are three more pictures of the sides. I'll put some little things inside the box and some money or a gift card. This is the most expensive box ever, probably cost me about $600 back in the day. My newest phone is much more than that, darn it.

What a fun birthday box, at $600 I'm glad you were able to reuse it! Know what you mean about the expense, I went into the store for an iPhone XR and came out with a 12 mini at about $400 more, but it's been an excellent phone for the last year and I'm sure I'll keep it for 3-4 more. My previous one was a 6 when I upgraded.

Great idea to repurpose a phone box. You put lots of nice goodies on it for your DGD. Hope she had a wonderful birthday. Happy day
