Why do I do this to myself?! What I'm referring to is buying detailed dies and then having a super hard time cutting them. I'm so addicted to nature creations and often they have little branches etc. Even with using a metal shim and running it through several times, it was difficult. But I did it!
This is for both challenges today...MIX is to make our own stencils, sort of did that with cutting GinaK masking paper with dies and a little star punch. The rabbit/moon is cut from an ai panel I had. I used sprays for the background, three of them. A gold leafing marker outlines the panel.
For the F4A, we were to feature a backyard critter. I looked outside last night and saw a little baby bunny all alone. Probably big enough to be away from Mama. I love them, even though I know they munch on gardens.

Yeah, I hear ya, this hobby is not for the faint hearted. Glad you got the die to work out. Seriously, these things could be easier, imho. So fun that you spied a bunny last night and worked this into the challenge.

I hear ya about the intricate dies and also about the rabbits in our yards! I love to watch them even as I also know that they are making a snack of my carefully tended flower gardens! I love the look of your card today and can imagine the shimmer from the combined sprays. Nature cards are always mu favorites.

Oh this is an enchanting creation. I see it as two images - the rabbit in your yard and the rabbit that visible when you look just right at the full moon! The die cuts are simply lovely in that purple hue and yes I get that many of these are very difficult to work with!! I always love nature cards - as you know from my gallery!! :-)

Just curious--do you run your dies through the Big Shot with the cutting edge facing up toward the roller cylinders? That always seems to give a better cut because the blades are pushing the paper against the solid metal instead of toward the more forgiving acrylic cutting pads. I know I prefer to cut with the sharp edge down because it is easier to align the paper, but the "best" way to cut is edges up.
Anyway, that being shared, I love your little rabbit gazing at the moon. The random stars scattered off the edge of the mat are genius.

I hear you…I find the cheaper the die I buy that they don’t cut properly. Even expensive brands have to go through my BS several times. I love the moon you created. Super card Jean. Happy weekend

LOL, it took about six passes for me to cut mine from mylar, but I reckoned it was worth the effort to have a stencil I could use again. I love yours, test hare is super and the texture in the sprayed background is gorgeous. I like seeing rabbits too. It was a little pleasure when my mother was dying, I could watch them from the kitchen in the house I was staying in while she was in hospital.

Beautiful die cut, I've got some too which I don't use often because they are really hard to use in the BS, I love your pretty garden scene, great starry night
