I really liked this sketch! I had no idea what to do so I dug to the bottom of my scrap basket and came out with these different bits of pattern paper and cardstock that had a definite undersea feel, so I pulled out the Mermaid stamp set. I attached the light blue and grey cardstock to a white premade card, then cut strips of the pattern papers and attached over the light blue and grey. I stamped and heat embossed the mermaid image then die cut it out. I colored the face and arms with a peach marker and used metallic markers to color the rest of the mermaid. I grabbed a scrap of turquoise paper and stamped the fishes and plants in Memories black ink. I layered the blue piece onto a hot pink piece of cardstock cut just a tiny bit bigger, and attached the mermaid with foam tape. I finished by stamping the sentiment in Memories black ink.
More steps than I have taken in making a card for a while but love how it turned out! Will probably use it as a birthday card for a niece coming up in September.

WONDERFUL card with its great choice of colors and patterns for your strips, mats, and mermaid bg! Love the added fishy and seaweed stamping! A fun, eye-catching card!
