My card for this week's Teapot Tuesday challenge, Hugs for Diane. Diane is having a rough go lately, she has had a recurrence of cancer. i hope my card will bring her a bit of cheer, even as it is starting to look like Autumn.
I made the background following the tutorial for wrinkle-free distress, applying the distress inks to a large acrylic block rather than a craft sheet. When the MM paper was dry, I stamped the floral silhouette in the Memento Potter's Clay ink. Sponged the alabaster chalk ink thru the stencil, hoping it would look like the fading sunlight as we go into the fall season. Added the tiny sentiment at the bottom. Mounted the watercolored panel on the rust CS, & then on the card front. TFL!

Beautifully crafted. Love love love the look of this gem with these gorgeous colors. Yeah, it could be Fall, but it also reminds me a hot August day. The silhouette stamp is gorgeous and those wonderful rays of sun shining down send such an optimistic message. Wonderful card.

Oh! I like the idea of using a large block. My sheet is just slightly absorbent, because it's a cooking one, and I don't always want to get my large glass mat out. I'm impressed with how well the stencil sun came out on it, too.
