Today's challenge was to paint a pinecone. Six weeks away and let me tell you - it felt like I had never held a paint brush IN MY LIFE! And truthfully this turned out much better than I had expected from my initial sketching. I thought about adding some bits of snow but since it rarely does that here, I decided for today to leave well enough alone.
Framed with a funky olive & brown DSP and die cut a sentiment.

Nice to see you back painting. Again another wonderful creation even though you thought you were rusty from not doing it for awhile. I was waiting for someone to give it a background. It looks great with the blues and speckles. Glad to see this in the gallery. TFS

Linda, this is awesome. Sure looks real, the needles, cone, and branch. I like that you put a sky.
Your card is beautiful.

Welcome back! You don't look at all like you were away! Your painting is gorgeous! I really like the blue and green in your background! Such a beautiful painting! You did a great job painting the dark and light of your pinecone! Now don't go away again for 6 weeks, we miss you!
