Stacy gave us a wonderful video on painting a pinecone and its needles.
Sketched like the artist and used my calligraphy nip where she used a bamboo stick. This was fun and could be used for winter cards along with holiday cards. Come join us and paint one for the gallery. TFL

Beautiful slimline and perfect for this tutorial. Your pine cone looks great as well as the branches and needles.

Just gorgeous! . . .and I'm a bit jealous as you achieved the coloration on your branches that I was hoping for and totally botched. I love the realistic variation in the colors of the pine needles and the lighter color on the pinecone itself. Definitely a painting to be proud of.

Gorgeous! The pinecone and pine needs appear to have movement as though they're blowing in the wind. I love the background and how you made this a slimline card. Bravo.
