I started with two pieces of white cardstock that I made monotypes using a gel press and acrylic paint. One of those monotype prints I cut the decorative cup using a STAMPlorations die. I then cut 2 of the base cups using the base die from STAMPlorations with black cardstock I used Aleeneâs tacky glue to adhere the decorative cup to one of the bases. I took the Nuvo glossy glaze and went over the whole cup to give it the look of porcelain. The hardest part was waiting for 2 hrs for it to dry. I had it set in front of a fan. It was a warm day so I made myself some iced tea. I saw the tea bags and knew that I wanted to add a tea bag tag to my card. So I cut one of the strings and tags off of the tea bag. I cut a scrap of the monotype and glued it to the tag. I used the sharpie a gel pen to doodle around the edges of the tag. I also drew a hear on the center. You canât see it in the finished project but I know it is there. I also wrote âpraying for youâ on the back of the tag because I originally thought I would leave it free hanging. Again you canât see in finished project but I know it is there. I used the STAMPlorations die plate to cut the circles onto the background white cardstock. I made a card base with white cardstock. I matted the smaller white cardstock that had the circles with the second monotype. I doodled around the edges with the sharpie gel pen. I used the paper stylus to deboss the top white panel. Then I glued the second cup cut from black cardstock to the white. I put dimensional tape on the cup and placed the other two layers of the cup. I adhered the tea bag tag with the sandwiching it between the cup layers. I decided that I didnât want it to just be free so I put some dimensional tape behind the tag and adhered it to the cup. I had a scrap of monotype done on deli paper. I stamped the butterfly onto that deli paper. The delicate paper really makes the wings look real. I cut two small pieces of black cardstock to make the antenna for the butterfly. I added some white dots to the wings with the white gel pen. I glued him to the tag only at the very center of his body leaving the wings free floating. Hope you enjoy this creation. Blessings.
