Lisa is our Thursday hostess this week: WT908 - Pick a Country - August 4, 2022 by Shoe Girl at Splitcoaststampers
Last week I asked you to share where you lived with local landmarks. This week Lisa is asking us to travel to another country. Zakynthos is one of the Ionian Greek islands, where the sea turtles nest each year. The beaches where they lay their eggs are very closely monitored and have strict regulations, you can only use sunbeds in certain areas, all the nests are fenced off, and you can't have bright lights near those beaches at night.
I also used the classic Greek island combination of blue and white.
Crafty Individuals turtle and fishes, coloured with Polychromos, SN clear glitter on little fishes. Popped up on foam on embossed background. Cuttlebug vintage corners cut from gold. Some frayed muslin, Stickles to edge the turtle panel.

Beautiful card and another one that is another coincidence. I love the EF and muslin. Yesterday I was looking at photos of Egypt and I received a text from my nephew of him in Zakynthos. I’ve visited Greece but not there. Happy day

I just bought that stamp!!!! So cute and beautifully done. I love seeing sea turtles hatch and scuttle down to the water. My parents went to Greece long ago.

Gorgeous card, Sabrina. The coloring of your sea turtle is so realistic and so beautifully done. Lovely background as well and I love the little snippet of frayed gauze that you added.

Beautiful card love the sea turtle story. It sounds much like Hilton Head South Caroline. Lots of sea turtles people have to turn any outside lights off after a certain hours so as not to disturb the migration back to the sea.

Love the classic Greek blue and white that you used on this card. I have wanted to visit the Greek island for as long as I can remember; I don't even know what planted the idea in my head. Glad to know they're protecting the turtles.

Oh my goodness what a sight that island must be when the turtles hatch. Great turtle and superb card Sabrina. Thank you for taking us to Zakynthos this week.
