I just got this stamp from Technique Junkies, so I was thrilled to see that today's challenge was "A Day at the Beach". The recipient loves the beach and could use some paper hugs as she recovers from surgery. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of wood look DSP and heat embossed with white powder. Distressed the edges with a fingernail and "nailed" the sign to the sand DSP with brads. Added some scalloped striped CS I had in my stash for color and a couple of real shells for Marla's collection. Looking at the other cards already in this gallery, she will have a wonderful array of beachy cards to brighten her days!

Adorable and I love you new stamp and the rules. Yep, it came at exactly the right time. Love the nautical beachy look with the colors, stripes and dp. Wonderful card.

Thanks for the description, because I coudn't tell at first if that was a stamped image or if you bought that. Great job! That is the perfect background to go with that stamp. And embossing it makes it look like a painted sign you'd see at the beach.

Oh, what wonderful timing to have the perfect image for the card party for Marla .... how sweet of you to also send along some real shells for her collection!

Faith, this is so wonderful in every way. I love the design and every single fabulous detail from the distressed edges to the "nails" and the shells. Nailed it!
