Hello, it's time for a new watercolor challenge. Brenda has chosen a loose watercolor for us to follow. This is definitely not my most comfortable lesson. I did as she suggested and found a reference photo to draw my flowers. She mentions that we can use a colored pencil so instead of the dark pencil, I used watercolor pencils. I just don't think I have what it takes to draw such free lines as the artist did in her tutorial.
There won't be time for a repaint this week but I would love to try this again with dark lines. I was FTiming with my sister while painting and she kept saying, "put that paintbrush down Angie, Put that paint brush down. You can paint another one but you don't want to mess this one up" I should probably FT her every week so that I am not painting until 2 Am as often happens. LOL
We hope you will join us for loose watercolor flowers this week!

I love that you did a pink ones also and that your lines are so bold. I really tried to do that but, I think that at 10% humidity I just did not have enough moisture for the watercolor pencils to flow.

Angie, I really like your pink coneflowers...it's the color that comes to mind when I hear the word. Glad you took the initiative to change the color from the video. You did a terrific watercolor rendition of them....a lovely notecard.

Angie, those are some gorgeous coneflowers. I love and should have known you would make them PINK, right? I used to have some pink ones and some that were an orange color...loved them.
