My sympathy card design was inspired by this week's Jugs challenge (http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot...irls-642.html). The card is also for Catherine's DTGD challenge and you can see in the bottom right of my picture the DP I created with pale green Distress sponging and mutiple DOX stamping in shades of green with a fern stamp from Julie Hickey. I added the sticky paper to the back and die cut the leaf using a Julie Hickey die. I then carefully paper pieced all the leaf interiors back when assembling the card. The sentiment from Verve is just perfect as this card is going to the family of a lovely guy who we have known for many years. He was born in Bangladesh but came to the UK to study hospitality and catering. We first met him when he opened a Curry House in Worcester Park where I lived as a child. He was the first chef to develop recipes without loads of artificial colours and set his restaurant up in modern style. He went on to become a government advisor, was involved in the London Olympics, worked with a college to train others and raised over £2 million for charity. He lost his 2 year battle to cancer on 17th July.

Janine, your panel created a gorgeous die cut for your beautiful sympathy card. Thanks for showing the stamped panel too, so pretty! Thank you for making a card for my challenge!
