This card is for Roberta's DTGD challenge to create a card using the faux patina technique. You can find the fabulous tutorial here: Faux Patina Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers I love this technique and haven't done it in a while, thank you for the push to try it again, Roberta!
I followed the steps in the tutorial and even, this time, used the same ink colors as used in the tutorial. I really like this embossing folder with this technique.
To finish the card, I cut the panel down (one of the off cuts is decorating the interior of the card) and then cut it into two pieces. I decided to punch one corner with the curvy corner trio punch.
I went looking through my pieces and found this medallion that was gifted to me. I sponged Always Artichoke and Early Espresso on it and then hit the edges with Versamark to add gold to it too. I also heat embossed the sentiment and then punched it out with the Word Window punch. The sentiment is popped up with dimensionals. A little gold thread added behind the sentiment completes the card.
Thanks for the challenge, Roberta, and thanks for looking!
