This is for Jeanette's DTGD22 challenge-paper piecing. Paper piecing is one of the first techniques I tried back when I joined SCS...I love it but rarely do it. Great idea to revive it! She asked us to create a floral card with the technique. I hadn't used this sunflower stamp yet so I paper pieced the big bloom, a bud and a large leaf. It is stamped on a stash background, I believe it was ai on a gel plate, but not sure. I found a quote I liked about the country. I've been a city girl all my life although I'm from a village in Wisconsin.....but it's the largest village in the state and it borders Milwaukee. I'm definitely a northwoods girl.
Speaking of country, this is also for Shirley's F4A-thank God I'm a country girl. I know you can see sunflowers in the city but out in the country, there are whole fields of them. For the first time ever last summer, I visited a field. It was so great! And speaking of sunflowers, I still have my sunflower banner out...put it out when the war started. I'd sure like to put it away. Thanks, Jeanette and Shirley!
