Toni is our WTUI hostess this week: WT906 - Faux Suede - 07/21/22 by ravengirl at Splitcoaststampers. I had fun with this challenge, it's been a while since I've done something like this. The technique was a great way to use a piece of Bazzill which had been partly faded in the sunlight!
I stamped the boot image on it and coloured with pencils. Found some vintage DP to suit the colours, stitched and sponged the edges after adding the strip with the buckle. I added a tiny sentiment tab, some gold stars cut from a tomato paste tube, and for a bit more definition I used a Posca pen to dot around the edge of the image panel. It's mounted on a grey card base.

It turned out really great! I love all the fun accents that you used too! I would necessarily think to color on the faux suede, but you can bet that I will be trying it soon.

You created a wonderful card with the faux suede panel featuring the cowboy boot filled with field flowers, Sabrina. I think it is neat how the crimper marks add another layer of texture. Your embellishments and stitching add even more interest.

I absolutely love that you stamped an image and colored it up for the faux suede. I need to try this technique again it is really a great addition to cards.
