My first card for Dare to Get Dirty. It's always sad when we lose one of our community, and I think it's fitting that one of the challenges this year is to honor Karen (ArtDecoDiva). This card in her gallery just jumped out at me - so fresh and full of sunshine! I obviously used a different embossing folder and stamped image, but I stayed pretty true to her wonderful design. I got rid of almost all of my colored cardstock (only kept neutrals and Christmas colors), so I color the edges of white with markers to make my mats. Less to store and always matches! I didn't have an appropriate word die cut, so I went with a hand-cut banner instead.

What a fabulous card in honor of sweet Karen. Miss her so much. Your coloring for the edges looks amazing, Sue. Who needs colored c.s. if you can get this look!
