I'm still trying to catch up post-vacation, so I grabbed two DOX backgrounds from my stash. The main background had already been stencilled quite some time ago, and I've been struggling to use it ever since. I trimmed it down to the width of the stencilling, and added a border cut from the other piece, from which I also cut the bird of Paradise. I added a sparkle pen to the wing, Stickles to the crest, and used Nuvo drops for the eye and beak.

Beautiful! I love all the swirls on this...in the bg and the tail of the bird and the gorgeous colors. I'm glad you were able to use this bg...it's really very pretty.

Royal, regal, and oh-so-BEAUTIFUL, Sabrina! I adore this! (The colors you chose are I swear a combination we'll see in Heaven someday - or at least I hope to, as it's one of my very favorites! )

Having stash is always a good thing, especially for someone as busy as you are. And what lovely stash it is! I love how that swirl of the bird's tail mimics the other swirls.

This is a beautiful composition! Your patience paid off to wait for the lovely bird of paradise. Luscious colors and fabulous texture, and the border is so pretty. I imagine the other piece was fantastic!
