Back from the northwoods, more than ready to watercolor! I combined today's and last week's WCW challenges-a hanging flower basket and masking for a clean edge. I'm delighted with how it all turned out, except I forgot to do a little shading on the basket, which I will remedy. I did some splattering with regular wc paint and some metallics.
I used today's sketch for our teaparty tickle from yesterday. I chose the top line of the tic tac toe-a bird, scoring and ribbon. Yes, I did score, wc paper doesn't show scoring very well. I scored above and below the yellow area and right above the sentiment. I think the recipient will be able to tell.
Thanks to Denise, Sabrina, Ally, Brenda and Angie for the challenges.

Your watercolors both came out beautifully. (I was going to use my basket watercolor for this challenge but couldn't figure out how -- your solution is very clever).

Your basket of flowers looks gorgeous and I love the little bird....looks like an Eastern Bluebird which is my fave. So, you did a two in one for the WCW. I love your painted flower. It's all awesome.

I'm thinking the flower in your lower strip is a magnified version of the ones in your hanging basket. All the different challenges worked together nicely.
